"Kohi Mero" - Directed by Alok Nembang;

I still remeber those long lines I stayed in Biswojoti Hall with my grandmom to see the Bhuwan K.C. movie. But today Nepalies themselves laugh about Nepali Moives(अ्राफ्नै बेइजत ) they are not blamed. Previously, there were no of good movies but a period came it changed, drastically. Was it due the poor conditions of Halls back then or due to fear of security, influence of english boarding schools (that made them feel Nepali as a foreign laguage and children started hating it) .. There was also influence of indian media through weekly mahabharat, shri krishna as holy programs where today it has reached towards hourly family dramas, yogas and everything else.

In that period notably most popular was Rajesh Hamal, the master degree holder of english, man with great personality. Who can be said as both a Savior and Destructor to Nepali Movies. Since he became so popular that time, that it was said a movie will flop without him. He was a reason many PPl came to the halls, but he could have sacrifice some and chosed good scripts to work with. I think Damage to Movie industry could have been highly saved(GPK of Kollywood). In that period he was there on almost every movie. And in many of them he would arrive in between the movies from nowhere to perform few fight seans, dance songs and give few dialogues.The Movie Industry got quite dirty, ppl paid to become actors, few Popular Stars in every movie. Movie got popular just because Nikhil Uprety jumped from a helicopter (निखीलजीले अ्राफै भनुभाको ) or some other stunts, or of a animal being stared , or due to rumor of a sexy secene. They even went to foreign land leaving behind Nepal's beauty and Comedy Scenes came in between from nowhere.
Bhuwan Kc's Corodpati was successful for running 100 days in various halls,but i think only few movies could acheive such success namely Tulshi Giri's - 'Darpan Chaya'. Which I am not sure if it reached 100 days but surely had reached 51 days in 9 halls.

Bhushan Dahal's Kagbeni and Alok Nembang's 'Sano Sansar' brought entirely different movies:High Defination, Great Sounds, Great Camera Angel, New leading Actors notably from Gurukul, No dishum dashium, No family drama, हिरोइन पताउन dance sceene पनी थीइएन . Which was never previously seen in Nepali Movies. What did they all do that for?? why did they bring such a huge change .......ans: only because they hoped they could pull nepali youths, those that were used to hollywood, bollywood and growing Korean Movies to come and Watch Nepali Movies. But this couldn't bring much success. PPL hardly gave them a chance. They tried to find little nots why not to watch the movie. And those who were used to watch Nepali Movies, felt it wasn't for them, Available only in High Priced Halls, and those seens that they were used too (The Fight Scene and Songs where 'Hero' and 'Herione' dance) didn't arrive : ...

So basically, PPl who didn't watch Nepali Movies hardly gave them a chance,and those who did felt these weren't for them.

Alok Nembang with Kohi Mero, this time has brought such a movie that felt like it tried to fill these gaps. There was a short 'flimy' Dishum Dashum, number of Songs, the Actors weren't entirely new (Jharna Bajrachary looked lovely). But he didn't miss the High Defination with great angles, great senaries (Mustang ko desert), nice songs, There were few comedy scenes that didn't feel alean to Movie, the Story was short and sweet, and best of all running on Many local halls.

If you haven't watched it yet do watch it ... Please dont miss it .. I promise you want regret !!!

My friends ask me why I hate Indian Movies so much .. But it's not that i hate them, It's just tat I want to save Nepali movies and help them grow or else it would be a condition where "I would hate killing animals for food, but i still love eat meat.", (No I'm not a vegetarian just an example) .. though the example is not much clear but hope u get the idea.
